Happy Sunday!When I began putting my artwork out there, I had no idea of the range of skills I would need - from marketing, websites& Social media, knowledge of reliable suppliers, how to photograph works, network and pricing to name a few.

At times its easy to feel overwhelmed or think 'its too much' but that's the thing... Yes it might be too much if you try to do all of the above at the same time OR put the pressure on to make things perfect!I am not a professional photographer or marketing pro - but that doesn't mean that I won't learn and get more skilled at it as I go along.And I am here for the journey.

So you will see professional photos on my website designed by a fantastic local website designer - you will also see me singing (badly) and dancing on my page because that's just me!

So behind my artwork, it isn't just me. It's a whole family of people routing for me to succeed and most importantly to be happy. Words of encouragement from friends and family; the best local businesses you could dream of including framers and printers, the most encouraging coach and this man... My husband. He my friends is the other part of the heart behind this page - he takes all my website and print photos, edits and tirelessly checks that all print products are top notch. He patiently answers my question after I have already asked him 10 about how to sort a technology issue. He is my biggest cheerleader, support and I love him so much for it.

Then there is you, all you wonderful people out there that have welcomed me and my art into your worlds. For the love and support you have offered me, from purchases to kind words. Love to you all 🤗

I can honestly say because I paint I am living my dream life ❤️ it's taken a while and a whole heap of life lessons to help me to mould this life... But I really feel like I'm living it now.

Day 5 of #meetthemaker 'newest make'

This one isn't quite my newest make... I'm cheating and if I'm honest this one is a few paintings back but my other images are on my Computer and I'm too snug by the fire to move😂 sorry meet the maker... I'm tutting at myself on your behalf.

So here is my 'newest make' (a few weeks back 🤣) and one that made me cry happy tears when I realised the significants of what we had achieved. See the grandad isn't here in person anymore and we managed to paint him with his grandson holding hands and walking together using other family photos, alot of imagination and patience. As a result the owner has a painting of her husband and grandson hand in hand - isn't that just so special. It makes me teary again just thinking about how special this was. Gosh I love the magic of painting... Anything is possible!

Well this is my desk.... An aladins cave for wonders, its treated a little like an extended paint pallete. There is a lot here that describes me. Obviously the paints and brushes, the empty bottle of water in my attempt to drink more which I keep forgetting to fill (doh!), my courage and love pebbles along with my journally pen. Lots of things I love.

If I'm honest I see my easel as my desk... Its a wonder of a thing and can be tilted all the way to lie flat so your canvas can be worked on flat - great for varnishing larger works.

I wonder what tomorrow's theme will be!
