Beyond the Ridge to the River Severn – Original
The home for this painting is called Pond cottage – a lovingly restored B&B – offering guests the comfort of a modern country escape. The grounds have been transformed into three acres of gardens, with formal flower beds bursting with hundreds of roses and tranquil meadows to wander and enjoy. The perfect B&B spot for garden and nature lovers alike.
I was fortunate enough to work with the owner Nicky and The @spencer_house_gallery to create two paintings to grace the walls of their Pond Room (one of which is pictured above). The paintings depict local scenes – one of the Cotswold Way looking towards Tyndale Monument in North Nibley and the other overlooking the River Severn from the ridge above Purton. Both of which are local to the cottage – perfect choices for this room.
